Seagate Hard Disk FARM Log

Since version 6.20.7, Hard Disk Sentinel Pro can detect and read the internal Seagate Field Access Reliability Metrics log (FARM) log of Seagate SATA hard disk drives (if supported by the drive). The Seagate Field Access Reliability Metrics log (FARM) log contains details about the hard disk drive, including but not limited to the power on time, number of heads, recording type (CMR / SMR), error counters / statistics and so.

To check the internal Field Access Reliability Metrics log (FARM log) of the Seagate drive, please select the drive and use the Disk menu -> Device Specific Information function which reads the internal error logs, test logs and the FARM log - so you can examine all details:

To make things very simple and easy, Hard Disk Sentinel Pro automatically verifies the accuracy of the power on time value reported by the drive via "normal" S.M.A.R.T. attribute and compares to the power on hours value reported by the Seagate FARM log and displays both values automatically on the top of the window and the results:

In addition, the FARM log contains several information about the drive lifetime, operation environment statistics like temperature, power use, humidity (if supported by the drive).
