Hi there,
actually i'm using Hard Disk Sentinel on a Windows terminal server 2003 R2.
The RAID Controller (Silicon Image SiI 3124) in RAID 1 mode.
This one is detected fine, both HDDs are displayed.
Since last week i'm using an additional external RAID 1 Box (connected via USB 2.0).
There i've got the problem, that only one disk is shown in the software.
They are working both fine, i can check this on the LEDs on the outside of the RAID Box.
Is there any way that hard Disk Sentinel can display both HDD's?
Or mybe it's related to the USB connection and that maybe the RAIDBox is not forwarding all needed signals?
Thank you for any advice
kind regards from Germany,
Sven

Re: Not detecting external RAID Volume correctly
Hi Sven,
Thanks for your message.
I recommend to use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option, as then it is possible to check the actual situation and verify the possibilties.
Also I'd suggest to write the RAID enclosure manufacturer and model.
Yes, some external RAID enclosures we tested may not provide access to the status of 2nd (and further, if any) hard disks, but always report the very first hard disk when Hard Disk Sentinel tries to access them. If this is detected, Hard Disk Sentinel displays only the status of the first hard disk, without showing this (same) information for the additional hard disks to prevent confusion.
From the Report menu -> Send test report to developer option, it is possible to check the situation and improve detection - if the RAID enclosure allows that.
