disk performance

Hello

After a surface test, can someone explain me the performance ( see attached file ) ?

For hard disks, it is completely normal that you see a decreasing performance curve. The beginning of the hard disk is approximately two times faster than the last sectors.

The reason is very simple: the size of the sector is fixed. The outer tracks contain more sectors than inner tracks, so a single revolution can read/write more sectors in the outer track.

As I see, there are some fluctuations, the curve is not smooth. It is very common if (during the test) some other programs (and the running operating system itself) may also use the hard disk - as this may reduce the performance during the testing. Is it your system hard disk?
