Hi !
I suspect the real time disk usage can do this problem as I encountered this issue on a Vista x64 system with lots of drives.
To verify if this is the situation, I recommend to disable this function of Hard Disk Sentinel by applying the following registry modification:
1) Start -> Run -> Regedit
2) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HD Sentinel key
(or the proper key on x64 system: HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\HD Sentinel )
3) create a new STRING (REG_SZ) with name "DetectPerf" and set value to "0"
4) restart the software
Then the "Disk Performance" panel should be empty for all disks.
Please let me know if this helps.
Also please use the "Report" menu "Send test report to developer" option, so I can check the actual configuration.

I see, so this is the solution
The option (at the bottom right of Configuration -> Status Window page) disables the Sidebar gadget support.
I'm checking and improving to prevent so huge CPU usage on Win7 x64.

Same problem under Win 7 Pro x64. Same solution by disabling the Gadget option.

Thanks. It seems Win7 x64 executes the Gadget-specific code slower than expected, this cause the higher CPU usage.
I'm still checking it and improve the situation.
