'Old disk' records kept

Sorry about the title, if it doesn't adequately reflect the issue I'm enquiring about!
Some while ago now, whilst checking an elderly drive using a transitory USB connection, I checked at an old ST96812A drive which had failed (presumably the Controller board had fried!). The problem is that I cannot now "get rid of" the display of this 'deceased' drive! It's always displayed there, below my normal drives.

Can you enlighten me as to where such info is kept (presumably within HDS) or perhaps how else I can remove this old disk's "record"?
I know I can shorten the section of the display so that this bit is effectively 'covered' by the lower portion of that box, but that's not what I want to have to do.
Reason? Well, I'm about to have a clear out of many old small HDDs (wiping them clean first of course!) and unless I can remove any records of them having been 'seen by HDS', I shall just have to stop HDS in the first place!!!

Also, could some way be made to clear the 'Temp.' display for SSD drives (since they're never going to have such information populated)?

I look forward to your helpful responses. Thank you.

Hi John,

Thanks for your message and question.

I can confirm that the status of the old hard disk is displayed because it was selected to be displayed when it's offline (when the hard disk is not really connected). In this situation, Hard Disk Sentinel displays the hard disk there with the last known status, just like if it's connected, just showing with darker color to illustrate that the drive is offline.

You can any time disable this if you open File > Open status of offline disks and un-check the currently checked hard disk. Then that offline hard disk will no longer appear in the end of the list.
There you can see other drives you may previously used (and their status could be reloaded).

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, due to the decision of manufacturers, only some specific SSD models have working temperature sensors. Others do not provide actual temperature, this is why that information is not displayed there. Yes, maybe the "Temp.:" field can be removed for such devices, thanks for the tip!
