Redundancy Status of HW/ Fake RAID

Hi,

Would it be possible to get the redundancy status via HDSentinel?
I'm currently using a JMB36x in RAID1 mode and while HDSentinel sees both drives just fine, I'd like to have it monitor the RAID status as well (is this feature already available?). For example, if the RAID volume is degraded, it would be good if this information is reflected somewhere in the app.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your message and question!
Yes, Hard Disk Sentinel sees and displays the status of both hard disks in the RAID array - to point on any possible problems long before they could result in degraded volume. This includes problems related to the hard disks (eg. bad sectors, weak sectors, etc.) and other issues (eg. spin up problems, data communication errors) which can indirectly cause problems.

Curently the array status is not yet available - as this is available with very few situations/controllers only. For example, if you'd have Windows Software RAID, then the status of the array(s) is available from the File menu under Windows Volume/RAID information.

Constantly checking about possibilties - so it is possible that the status of the array will be also available for JMB36x RAID in a future version.
