Tray Icon Order

I'm using Version 4 with Windows 7...

I am monitoring five drives and the tray icons are not in numerical order.

Is there a way to have them listed in the tray in numerical order like 0,1,2,3,4,5 ?

Thanks guys for any help with this.

In general, Hard Disk Sentinel does everything to display the tray icons in this order: to keep the icons together and display in increasing order.
However, Windows 7 may ignore this and re-arrange the icons.
The problem is that in the software we have no control on the order - but you can any time re-arrange them, just click and drag the tray icon(s) in the order you prefer.

Not sure, but it may be also interesting to have the option "Display only highest temperature" in Configuration -> Hard Disk Drives
(some users do not prefer to have icons for all hard disk drives)

Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes, I know I can drag them to the order I prefer.

I'll try the suggestions you say and see what happens.

Unlike some other users I prefer all the drives showing..

Thanks again..

Personally I completely agree: I also prefer show the status of all drives ;)

Just an update to this:

It seems that after arranging the icons in the proper order a few times it seems now, when Windows 7 boots, they are displaying in the right numerical order...0,1,2,3,4

Thanks again ..

Well, after several re-boots, it seems to arrange them properly most of the time...

Yes ....
The problem is that from software it is not possible to control this behaviour, Windows is designed to work this way: to show the icons in the order he prefers. For example, if a different software wants to show an icon, it may be positioned between the icons of the hard disks.

Just a tip: you may try to adjust Configuration -> Preferences -> Pre-start delay value. Increase it to allow other software to initialise and put their icons and then let Hard Disk Sentinel show the icons for the hard disks. Not sure, but may help ....
