Blue screen windows shutdown istor.sys error

Since I installed Hard Disk Sentinal Yesterday, I have windows shut down more than 5 times with a blue screen and a Stop 0x00008086. When I send the windows error report in, it says that I should Install the raid Controller IAstor.sys. That driver is in my windows system folder. Since I didn't have this problem before installation of the Hard Disk Monitoring, I decided to uninstall the program and see if the problem goes away. My question is, has anyone had this problem?
Thanks,

Thanks for your message and excuse me for the troubles.
Yes, I can confirm that the problem is related to the Intel RAID controller driver.
If possible, please open
www.hdsentinel.com -> Support -> Driver Zone and download and install one of the recommended Intel drivers, or the best one directly from this link:
http://www.hdsentinel.com/driver/stor_a ... 026_pc.zip
The problem is that different versions of the Intel RAID controller (both older and even newer ones) have problems, so it is recommended to install this version.
If possible, please use Report -> Send test report to developer option after this update (and restart, when the driver is changed) in Hard Disk Sentinel, that would confirm the situation and also it can help if you still experience problem after this driver update.

I went to the link and downloaded all 3 drivers for Intel, and ran the install and it tells me that " this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this. That's disappointing because I really like your program for monitoring the hard drive. I have a 6 year old Dell Inspiron 8400 XP Pentium 4 3.4 with all service packs, and everything else works great.
So I started researching this error regarding the Inspiron 8400 and find that there is some issue with raid and the 8400. I found this thread on the Dell website.
http://en.community.dell.com/support-fo ... x#20090188 So I downloaded the
Intel Application accelerator ( Intel Storage utility 4.5) , which they call from the dell website and installed it.
Then I downloaded the
Matrix Storage Manager Drivers from the Dell site and installed it.
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/ ... Id=R130119. Everything installed without a hitch, and from what I read, this is supposed to stop the errors that I was getting.
I am going to wait a couple of days, and see if I don't get any more windows crashes, and then reinstall Hard Disk Monitoring. Hopefully this will fix the problem.

Thanks for the information, it may also helpful for users having the same issue!
If you encounter troubles with the latest 4.00 version of Hard Disk Sentinel, you may consider installing an older version of Hard Disk Sentinel from the bottom of the "Download" page:
http://www.hdsentinel.com/download.php
I'd recommend to check 3.30 (
http://www.hdsentinel.com/hdsentinel_pro_setup330.zip ) because it does not yet have the special functions to collect information about Intel RAID controllers (to detect and display hard disk status when Intel RAID controller/motherboard is used).
So it may work differently and if so, you can use Report -> Send test report to developer option.
That would help to check the actual hard disk status, the used driver and the information detected about the hard disks.

Thanks for the information, I'm glad that now everything is fine
The problem was that the previously used (older) hard disk controller driver did not properly contain all functions the software tried to use.
In general, to avoid such situations
www.hdsentinel.com -> Support -> Driver Zone contains most drivers to avoid any kind of such incompatibility issues.
Excuse me, I thought that the driver I recommended previously may work on your system, but it is good that DELL offered a recommended update. Anyway, it is possible that this driver will be also added to Driver Zone, just to help users experiencing similar issues on their systems.
Thanks so much for your help and information and excuse me again for the issues with the previous driver!
Just let me know if I can help or assist in any ways.
