Possible to ignore USB drive connect/disconnections?

With this alert enabled, is it possible to do this?

I tried USB* as a wildcard in the Disk Drive Added/Connected threshold ignore field but I think that only works with device model IDs.
Can the wildcard be made to work with the Disk interface type?
I saw in the alert that Overview > Drive Added doesn't mention the interface type (only later on in the Physical Disk Information section) so that gave me the clue that it may not work.
It'd be very handy to just block out this interface type.

No, USB* will not work, as you'd need to specify model ID, firmware revision, serial number (and use wildcards).

Not really sure what you prefer, but you can easily filter out (ignore) pendrives, memory cards or similar if you specify their model ID too.

Tx for the clarification.

The key issue is that I don't know what the model ID will be for any future thumbdrive etc. that will be inserted.
The only thing I do know is that these transient storage devices will inserted via USB. My ideal preference would be for a simple checkbox that said "Ignore USB interface drive connection/disconnections".

Granted folks sometimes have permanently USB-connected drives but given my past experience with various iffy USB controller interface chips and drivers and hubs with iffy PSUs, I'd advise folks to steer clear if at all possible for storing valuable data. I guess for that use-case (permanently connected USB drives) they could specify the USB drive model ID in the "specify disk to trigger" box.
