HDD inaccessible after running Disk Repair

Hi, I have a WD Ultrastar 14TB hard disk that I was using as storage. A couple days ago, I noticed a yellow warning label on the disk icon in This PC. I checked HD Sentinel, and the drive health was at 48%. I decided to run Surface Test - Disk Repair on it because it said the test is safe for stored data. It took 18 hours, and at completion it said 269 bad sectors were repaired. But now, in HD Sentinel, the disk shows up as offline, and in Windows Disk Management, it shows up as Disk 1, Unknown, Not Initialized. I selected Initialize Disk before finding out later that would erase everything, but thank God I got an 'Incorrect function' error, lol. Is there a way to get the drive accessible in Windows again? I tried a data recovery program, and the disk shows up as having Unallocated Space - 0 bytes, lol. Am I screwed?

OK, I switch SATA ports and now it's detected and accessible again. Strange.

Yes, it is generally possible.

Generally during error-detection and error-repairing (especially if there are 100's of sectors to be repaired) sometimes the disk drive "stuck" and seems

- no longer working at all
- having 0 bytes capacity
- having no (or limited) self-monitoring status
- disconnected (removed from the system).

This is generally more common with some external USB drives (as it is usually related to the chip of the USB adapter / enclosure / docking station).
But this can happen with internal SATA drives too (sometimes related to motherboard chipset / driver installed or so).

Yes, usually a complete power cycle (power OFF / ON) causes the drive to reset and starts working again.
Yes, it is generally good idea to try different port (SATA / USB depending on the connection) just to be sure.

Ps. I'd be more than happy to check the complete status of the drive, as checking the status of such disks always help further deveopment, improving the efficiency of error-reporting and error-repairing. If possible, I suggest to please use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option. Thanks!
