Hard Disk Monitoring

Hi everyone,

I have Toshiba PC P300 HDWD240 4TB drive which has 25 hours power on time. I bought it last autumn.

It has Raw read data rate failure.

But im half way through disk surface scan and all sectors are light green and good.
Disk works nice, i did a raw image of it without a problem. Should i return this drive?

According the S.M.A.R.T. values, yes, the drive triggers a "Pre-Failure: Data loss predicted" event. In such situations, the BIOS may show S.M.A.R.T. warning before booting (if this is an internal drive) and the operating system may also show failure notification.

Interesting that generally the error counters do not indicate any problems and yes, the surface scan shows no errors.

I suggest to use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option as then it is possible to check the details. It is possible that there may be a minor incompatibility between the disk drive and the system, for example
- the chipset driver / SATA controller driver problem (if it is an internal drive)
- external USB adapter/enclosure/dock (if it is an external drive)

or may be caused by a firmware bug of the hard disk drive

What happens if you try Disk menu -> Short self test / Extended self test functions?
These are internal disk tests, checking the drive basic functionality. If they show no errors, then the drive is probably fine, but from the report, I'd see things better.
