Hi, I have this SSD
TM8FP6256G0C101
according to the official specs it has 150 TB TBW for the 256GB version
https://www.teamgroupinc.com/en/catalog/act.php?act=2&index_id=162
HD Sentinel 6.00 reports it as being used 1% already after 750GB written. Shouldn't 1% come at around 1.5TB written?
Wrong TBW value/percentage used

Re: Wrong TBW value/percentage used
I can confirm that the "Percentage used" value is calculated by the SSD itself: the firmware of the SSD calculates this value based on the disk utilization/usage. Yes, mostly the amount of data written but other factors can affect the calculation.
This Percentage Used value is NOT calculated/counted by Hard Disk Sentinel: Hard Disk Sentinel "only" detects and reports/displays the value.
So please contact the manufacturer TEAM GROUP about the situation: probably they can explain the math how they calculated, why the 750 GB written causes the 1%.
Please note that generally the TYPE of the data written is also important: if you save many smaller files, it could cause more wear, much faster degradation even if the total amount of written data is less.
