Hi,

we had issues with cabling and so the health of the disk went down. After re-cabling everything is fine now.
How can we reset the error counter for:

Code: Select all

Recently the following entries added to System Event Log:
745 warnings, most recent: The IO operation at logical block address 0x3dce6850 for Disk 1 (PDO name: \Device\00000048) was retried. (Disk; ID: 153
The following function can be used to improve the situation: Disk -> Surface Test -> Disk repair
At this point, warranty replacement of the disk is not yet possible, only if the health drops further.
The TRIM feature of the SSD is supported and enabled for optimal performance.
Thanks

SMART values are fine, so we cannot "reset" health via it.

Please refer to:

and

as these topics both discuss the same situation, give details about how to clear the errors and restore the health:

1) by starting a Disk -> Surface Test -> Disk repair function (as suggested in the text description)
2) by waiting: things automatically improve with time if there are no further issues for longer period
3) by manually removing the files storing the detected errors
