Hello i have sometimes the problem my HDD goes on off on off on off... if HDS make the proof interval. Whats the probelm? Only to mark in options not test usb drives can help than.

Im not sure what the probelm is, i see in options the intervaltime can be choosen by the bar. It is possible to say HDS to check the 4 HDD not simultanious the same moment? Not sure maybe the jbod controller not likes it if all requests comes at the same time? Not sure without HDS i can use all 4 Disks esp. file explorer non probelms, or Aida64. This on/off game is only if HDS check SMART and the Temps.

Please help me thx.

sorry for the bad english

As the disk drives managed by the single chip in the enclosure, they always need to be detected at the same time, but this is not the problem.

The problem can be that the internal power management function of the chip in the USB enclosure which always attempt to put the drives to standby - without showing that the drive(s) are actually working or in sleep mode and when the disk status detection starts, it may got confused about detection of the status.

Also problem can be caused by the USB controller or its power management function too and can be related to power supply/cables/connections or firmware issue too.

Here are the generic recommendations you can try in order to improve usability of the external enclosure:

1) I'd recommend to try to connect to different USB port, maybe to direct USB port on the computer (avoid USB hub if you use) just to be sure.

2) If you use older version of Hard Disk Sentinel, please update to latest possible as all versions have generic improvements for external drives/enclosures, especially for such multi-drive enclosures.

3) Try to disable power management function of the enclosure and/or in Windows, to ensure that the drives should work correctly without attempting to start/stop constantly

4) Verify the power supply and power cable of the external enclosure. Sometimes the power supply may simply not provide enough power for proper operation, especially when large capacity drives used - which cause that the drives and the enclosure may not work properly (causing constant "on/off")

5) Verify if there is an updated firmware for your USB enclosure available. In many cases, updated firmware may correct some such problems and/or improve compatibility in general

Also I always recommend to use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option in Hard Disk Sentinel. This way it is possible to check the "raw" response of your device, examine possible compatibility issues and check what/how things can be improved particularly for your device/disk combination.
