Alert for SSD at 95% health

Hello,

I have a SSD (Samsung 850 Pro 512GB) that has been working for about three years and has now fallen to 95% health with about 22 TBW. The drive is rated for 300 TBW, so a 5% drop over 20 TBW seems quite reasonable.

The problem is that HD-Sentinel treats the 95% health as an "Alert", blinking the tray icon and stating "Low health" in its email report. The warning threshold is set that way because if one of the HDDs also running in the system should drop below 95% health, I _do_ want to know about it ASAP.

Is it possible to set different thresholds specifically for single drives? Or would it be possible to have one set of levels for HDDs and a second one for SSDs?

Regards

I recommend to search for custom health on this forum (or check in the Help).

That would immediately give (for example) the following topic:

Quote from that topic:

I can confirm that it is already possible to configure different health thresholds for different devices: even all different devices can have their own yellow (warning) and red (alert) level.

So yes, by that, you can focus on health decrease of hard disks and configure different levels, for example 90% health threshold for hard disks and 50% health for SSDs. This way when the SSD health decreases (due to normal usage) below 90% (but above 50%) you'll not recelve alerts.

For this, just double click on the Health % bar of the appropriate selected device (hard disk or SSD) and you can configure the alert level for that particular device.

This is described in the Help:

https://www.hdsentinel.com/help/en/10_overview.html

See "Custom health thresholds" section.
