my motherboard had problem with sata connexion and my internal HD. i fixed it. and i fixed the ultra ata crc error count problem by putting -436 in smarth, its now written Disk status Perfect health 100%, but the performance won't go back to 100%, its still 94%.
i did a read test, all good.
but when im downloading with Utorrent, at around 10%, it say, HD overloaded, and a pop-up window appear down-right, near the windows time, saying: dont know how to translate that, its in french, im french: "Impossible to satisfy at the demand because I/O peripherical problem."
its not the tracker, when i download on other HD all work good.
i checked in win7 device manager, in IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, i have 6 satas connected in my computer,
ATA channel 0 = ultra DMA5
ATA channel 0 = ultra DMA5
ATA channel 0 = same
ATA channel 1 = same
ATA channel 1 = same
ATA channel 1 = MODE PIO4 -- HERE!!!!
i suspect hardly this last one...
how i can put it ultra DMA5 too? by remove it and refresh it? i have lot of things on that HD, i dont wanna lose datas. i have nothing to backup.
tx a lot.

It is completely normal and expected.
The Performance % will not jump back immediately - as it is calculated by considering problems occured previously in the past days.
It will increase back slowly with time (usually some days) - but only if there are no new problems detected.
> "Impossible to satisfy at the demand because I/O peripherical problem."
If there are new problems, I'm afraid no, the original issue is not fixed.
This also causes that the disk is not working with fastest possible transfer speed and using PIO mode only.
I'd recommend to try connecting the drive to different port, maybe try to swap cables.
If there are still problems, then there may be something else which cause generic unstable operation: power source, power cable/connection, 4-pin-> SATA converter cable or power cable splitter, overclock and so.
The page
https://www.hdsentinel.com/hard_disk_ca ... _error.php
gives additional details about the situation, see the "Recommendations" on the bottom.
If you use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option, I can check the actual situation, configuration, disk controller and may advise better.
You may send multiple reports, for example one as a "base" and one other after you'll experience new issues. Seeing the change may also give ideas about what to do.

last problem was from 1 month ago, still same 94%.

when i change sata cable, my motherboard stop detecting randomly other Satas, sometimes, it doesnt detect all 6 satas + pci-e Video card. i have to remove all 6 satas and pci-e video cards. remove battery on motherboard, power supply disconnected, wait 30 sec, reput battery, and restart pc with onboard video card, and doing same thing replacing my video card, doing AGAIN same thing, connecting ALL 6 satas and pray God, the motherboard detect all those correctly. now its the case.
i read somewhere when TOO MUCH CRC I/O errors, windows put HD on PIO.
and it could be repair by adding something in regedit, something like: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0001
Edit, New, and then click DWORD Value
Type ResetErrorCountersOnSuccess.. ETC.
more informations here:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... -or-crc-er
ill try this. because removing faulty IDE in the devive manager, restart windows did nothing.
ill give back news... maybe its time to change motherboard, because i changed power supply for a GOOD new one, and same problem. tx

i tried everything to put it back Ultra DMA5, it worked 2-3 times...
i tried reading videos. all worked good. still Ultra DMA5.
but as soon i try to write something, like copy paste a video from another HD to this one, its back to PIO.
i tried some other write benchmark... back again to PIO.
like u saying i may have to disconnect and reconnect it.
my motherboard have 4 sata ports, but also i bought some years ago a pcie-x1 to 2 satas converter. and i realised this one is plugged into it. what a puzzle.

But you wrote there are problems (switching back to PIO mode) again and again ....
I'm afraid things are still not stable.
In other cases, I'd say the problem may be the power source: insufficient power to manage all disk drives and the video adapter.
But you wrote that you changed power supply too recently (hopefully to a strong one for such devices).
Yes, maybe trying the PCIe SATA controller card can help.

all was working good before with Power supply (Antec TruePower 2.0 430w) and another cheapest motherboard.
later i bought and changed for this almost new (used) motherboard, but kept same Antec PS, and all 6 satas (pcie-x1 converter 2 satas) was working good, but a lil weird high pitch ultrasound noise from motherboard. slowly (after 1 years or 2) it started to not detect 1 sata, i switched satas cable and the problem was fixed, sometime after, it doesnt detect 2 satas etc..i thought my PS was dying.
i bought a stronger and better quality one (Corsair CX550M 550W 80 PLUS BRONZE (no more ultrasound on motherboard)), i checked with 2 professional informatic technicians shop and agreed for this one. the problem is still the same having problem detecting satas, even if i connect only 1 sata, for me its clearly a motherboard problem. because when i remove battery and put it back, it detect all satas. but if change something in the satas, motherboard will restart bugging (sorry my english is limited).
the pcie-x1 sata converter, i have it working since long time. its not new.
the "pio" HD is connected to that Pcie-x1 sata converter with the cd-rom. cd rom is dma5. i guess pcie-x1 sata converter who share the same pcie speed maybe isnt really stable. not the 1rst time i have problem with this too. im thinking to buy same motherboard on ebay but NEW, maybe the PS ANTEC True Power 430w wasnt enough strong causing ultrasound on motherboard and slowly damaging it. now that i have a good PS compatible with my system. the problem could be fixed.
sorry for long text lol.
but for now, i still can read files fast on this HD. and i dont use it often. so no big deal. just sad i cant fix the pio problem without unplug it. tx for help.
