Hard Disk Monitoring

I have a Supermicro server board based on the Intel chip set C612. I have a RAID 1 array setup and only the array but not the physical drives are visible to windows, as one would expect.
HD Sentinel breaks this barrier and sees the individual physical drives as is many time is the case and is nice when it does so.
It would be nice if HD sentinel could do one or both of the following.
1. Detects a problem with the underlying logical array and sends an emails
2. If a physical drive is removed (any drive for that matter) or is missing or drops out, an email is sent.

Yes, the purpose of disk monitoring over RAID is exactly to detect the RAID members, their status, health, temperature and other possible issues (or confirm if there is none) related to other factors in the storage subsystem like cables, connections, power supply etc...
Such issues commonly lead to degradation when the controller drops the drive - so by monitoring the status of the RAID members, Hard Disk Sentinel can report problems - even before the RAID array will go degraded.

I'd suggest to use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option. Such developer-reports always help to check the "raw" response of the RAID controller and gives the opportunity to check the possibilities about further improvements, for example to detect/report if the array is degraded and/or if a RAID member is missing.
