Hello,

Similar to other user reports here:

I have been experiencing an issue where at midnight, any applications running in full screen mode would become minimized or "out of focus". I received assistance from another tech forum which advised me to run focus.exe to track what applications are taking focus. The logs show that it was HDSentinel: https://i.imgur.com/ap0jKgE.png

App ver: Hard Disk Sentinel 5.01
Date and time: 2018-08-11 12:07:26 AM
Install date : 2017-05-05 12:00:00 AM
Health calculation method: Analyse data field (default) (1)
Operating System Information:
Name . . . . . . : Windows 10 Enterprise [64bit]
Service Pack . . : None
Version . . . . : 6.3 Build: 17134

I have already submitted a test report to developers, but was not sure what the resolution was for other users with the same issue, other than discontinued usage of the program.

Thank you.

Hello,

Thanks for your message and sorry for the possible troubles.

However, I can confirm that any time when I tried to reproduce, I had "no luck": the focus never lost, never grabbed by Hard Disk Sentinel.

I used "Focus logger" tool, always running the software for long time and Hard Disk Sentinel never caused lost focus or similar.

Last time I did extensive tests in December and captured images, for example:

(while Hard Disk Sentinel is running and active of course). There is no focus lost and nothing logged after midnight as you can see.

Anyway, even if I could never reproduce, some generic improvements already made in newer versions since the version 5.01 you are using.
So I'd recommend to use the automatic update from File menu to get the latest 5.30 version, things may work differently by that.

If you experience the same, please use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option with that and also in the comment field (when sending the report) please write me which application(s) you had focused/maximized when the focus lost, so then I can specifically examine with that.
