Hi all.
Despite my clearing the check box in -
Configuration>Preferences>Load With Windows
HD Sentinel insists on loading every time Windows boots.
Not sure if this is a bug or not.
System info -
Win 7-64 Ult, Q6600 CPU, 8GB RAM, HDSentinel ver 5.01 (Free version as offered by SharewareOnSale as of 17th Sept 2017).
Is there any other way to turn off this forced load at Windows boot? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it made no difference.
Thanks in advance.

Re: HDSentinel always loads at Boot despite setting not to
Excuse me for the troubles.
I can confirm that if the "Load with Windows" option is disabled, of course Hard Disk Sentinel configures the system to do not start it next time.
Generally Hard Disk Sentinel uses Windows Scheduler to create a configured task (which runs the software automatically) and if the "Load with Windows" option disabled, then this entry should be removed - and the software should not launch automatically.
It seems Windows Scheduler could not properly do the required command (to remove the auto-load entry) even if it should.
Sometimes, in rare situations users experienced that Windows Scheduler did not ADD the auto-load entry, the topic
https://www.hdsentinel.com/forum/viewto ... 289#p14864
discusses that with details about how to open Windows Scheduler, locate and create the scheduled task manually.
While in theory yes, the opposite may happen (Windows Scheduler could create the task - but can't remove it) until now no user reported similar. It seems this happened on your system.
I'd suggest to please check the above link just instead of creating the task (as it is already present) please open Windows Scheduler and delete the HardDiskSentinel task from the Task Scheduler Library. This way the software will not start automatically next time.

Re: HDSentinel always loads at Boot despite setting not to
Manually deleting the item in Task Scheduler fixed the problem.
Thank you - greatly appreciated.
