Creating a summery report for 100+ drives at a time

It would be really helpful to be able to create a report for mass drive testing which would include a summary report page of general stats on all the drives like Average Days in use, how many are predictive fail and how many have failed (Serial numbers included),how many with degraded performance or health. The assumption would be that the drives are the same for this test, any feature that could help me test and report the most amount of drives at one time would be best.

Thanks in advance

Carlton

Hi Carlton,

Thanks for your message and the suggestion. Yes, as it can be helpful, a such function (summary report) may be available in a future version.

Until that, currently it is possible to save text or HTML report but as it contains all details, for high number of hard disks, it can be very long.
At Configuration -> Message Settings page, it is possible to reduce the amount of information to be saved to keep the report compact, but this may be too long / not really a statistics / summary. Anyway, it may worth a try, as it can help now.

Maybe a good solution can be if
- Hard Disk Sentinel configured to automatically export status information to XML file ( Configuration -> Advanced options -> Generate and update XML file )
- a small tool / VBS script could be created which will read and process the XML file and produce the statistics and information
(if you are interested, please send an e-mail to info@hdsentinel.com and I can provide a sample VBS script to illustrate how to process the XML report).
