Data Storage Location Flexible

I found out that the software stores data on the HD and in the registry. At my computer the software is located on the D drive. The system disk C with the registry and the D drive have a completely different backup timing. In addition I have to restore sometimes the C drive (but never the D drive). This leads now to data loss.

Would it be possible that the user could decide if data should be stored in the registry and on the HD or only on the HD in the software folder? Best would be to have a portable version :D .

Thanks!

Yes, a portable version is already planned and will be released later ;)
Also the option to specify storage folder is under construction.

1) Click on the "Download" next to the portable version from the "Download" page: http://www.hdsentinel.com/download.php
or use this direct link: http://www.harddisksentinel.com/hdsenti ... rtable.zip

2) Create a folder (for example "HDSentinel") on a pendrive / memory card you plan to use as portable device.

3) Extract the downloaded ZIP file to this folder.

4) Connect the pendrive to any Windows computer and launch HDSentinel.exe from this folder.

I just hope that you get to have an app available under PortableApps so I could bring it anywhere in my thumb drive.

You can put Hard Disk Sentinel Portable version to anywhere in your thumb drive, including the folder you mentioned if you prefer.
