Hello - first time posting here!
I'm trying to help a friend, but am right on the fringe of my knowledge! I'm wondering if anyone here could scan these results and give an assessment of the health of the disk.

Re: Hard Disk result
Please download and install Hard Disk Sentinel Pro from this link:
http://www.harddisksentinel.com/hdsenti ... _setup.zip
and after installation, this will gives immediately the current health status, shows a complete text description about the different possible errors occured.
There are different ways to diagnose the problems, test the hard disk to reveal and fix errors with the hard disk.
You may use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option any time, as then it is possible to check the current status and advise about possible issues.

Thank you so much for your reply.hdsentinel wrote:Please download and install Hard Disk Sentinel Pro from this link:

Whichever browser I use when I try that link I'm told - "This webpage is not available"
Is the fault with your link? Please check and advise. TIA
Dave

Re: Hard Disk result
Hi,
There should be no problem with that link, it works regardless of the browser used.
If you prefer, you may try a mirror download link from a different server: http://www.hdsentinel.com/hdsentinel_pro_setup.zip
Or just open www.hdsentinel.com and after clicking on the green "Download" button, you can select to download Hard Disk Sentinel Pro by the "Download" button.

I took the latter course of action - as you probably already know (because I sent you a test report!).
I've just checked the original and the mirror links on my Apple iMac ....... and they DO both work (now!).
Very strange. I'll try the links on my old Dell, running a fresh install of Windows XP, a little later on and let you know the result.
Am I correct in thinking that your software doesn't work on a Mac?

As promised, I did try all the links again - and they do all now 'work'!Brawdy14 wrote:hdsentinel wrote:Very strange. I'll try the links on my old Dell, running a fresh install of Windows XP, a little later on and let you know the result.

Please advise with regard to using this software on an Apple Mac.

Re: Hard Disk result
Thanks for the update and excuse me if one of the links did not work previously, maybe was a temporary network issue or higher load of the download server.
Yes, I can confirm that currently there is no version available for MAC. Hopefully later we can advance in that direction also.
On MAC, you may only use
- if you'd have Windows installed and start the current Hard Disk Sentinel version that way
- use a bootable (live) Windows CD/DVD/pendrive and launch Hard Disk Sentinel Portable ( http://www.harddisksentinel.com/hdsenti ... rtable.zip )
as then it is possible to have a complete overview, error reporting and you can even perform tests to diagnose, reveal, fix possible issues.
