3Ware 9650SE-8LP support

Hi,

I'm looking for a hardware RAID controller worth the name that HD Sentinel can handle; can someone confirm that RAID 5 arrays with the 3Ware 9650SE-8LP (part no. 9650SE-8LPML SGL) can have the individual drive temperatures read back? I want to make sure before I spend £lots on it!

Hi,

According my tests and the reports received about 3Ware / AMCC cards, this card should work without problems (all SATA drive information, temperature, health and further details should be available).
From 3ware 9650 series, the following cards were successfully tested until now: 9650SE-2LP, 9650SE-4LPMP, 9650SE-16ML
These only differ in terms of the number of supported hard disks and I suspect the 8 port card you mentioned should work as well.
