Sorry for the newbie question. Just installed HD Sentinel Pro on Win7 x64. Was expecting to see some Windows Service registered that would automatically start with windows, but I can't seem to find it.
Can you please tell me how the program runs automatically during startup (if configured in Preferences), and also what the "Pre-start delay" does?
Thanks,
AJ

Re: is there a service?
I can confirm that in normal situations (when Hard Disk Sentinel runs in application mode, by default) there are no Windows Service(s) installed: the software runs as an application (automatically with Windows when the user installed it logs in OR manually, depending on the settings). So there are no service(s) or other components active, just HDSentinel.exe.
(if you prefer to have it running when no user logged in, then yes, you can switch to Service mode. Please check the Configuration -> Integration page and its help for more information and information about this mode).
Normally, after installation, the program runs automatically when the user who installed it (the user with admin rights) log in the computer.
The "pre-start delay" is the number of seconds the software pauses on startup before starts to access the hardware.
This may be increased when Windows boots slower (especially if there are lots of programs start with Windows) and/or there are frequent configuration changes happen. This delay allow Windows to load everything and "settle down" before Hard Disk Sentinel starts up.
