Hi,
I am currently evaluating HDSentinel and I have found a very small bug that I would like to report.
I have multiple partitions located on 2 drives. One of these partitions has the letter B:\. When enabling "Modify default hard disk icons in Windows Explorer", all my drives icons including the B:\ partition gets a new look. However, if I disable that option, the B:\ partition still has the modified icon. I must put B in the field "Do not change default system icon of the following disks", then the system icon will come back to default.
Is it possible that HDSentinel does not look for drives before C:\, since B:\ is usually a second floppy disk ?
If I find other bugs, I'll report them.
On another note, I must say that I am impressed with this software so far. There is plenty of customization and seems to be reliable. I had an hard drive failure not too long ago and I was running Acronis Drive Monitor. Unfortunately, for an obscure reason, the SMART status reported that my drive was fine which is fine ADM did not detect any fault, however sectors were dying after a surface scan with HDTune. I am therefore looking for a software that can monitor my drives and also automatically do surface scan on a basis (what you call projects in HDSentinel). Keep it up !
Best regards,
Guillaume.

Re: Minor display issue in Disk Control
Thanks for your message and excuse me for the issue !
For very long time, Hard Disk Sentinel did not check A: and B: drives at all, of course as they are usually related to floppy drives.
Then one user asked to check them (if they are not floppy drives) as he prefer to have B: drive as a "Backup" partition
Since that, Hard Disk Sentinel checks and monitors these drives - if they're not floppy drives.
Yes, it seems the "modify icon" option has a minor issue with drive B: so it will be surely checked and fixed in the next beta and official version.
Thanks for your attention and thanks for your kind words!
