I am changing they default key located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Applications\Explorer.exe\Drives\C\DefaultIcon. After I do this Hard Disk Sentinel changes its value and makes another key with my old value. I have included screenshots.

Yes, this is completely normal and expected: by default Hard Disk Sentinel uses this registry entry to display the disk health status and used space on the drive icons.
You can disable this function at Configuration -> Disk Control page: the first option "Modify default hard disk icons in Windows Explorer" option toggles this on/off in general.
Or you can selectively specify drives to exclude on this page by the "Do not change default system icon of the following disks" line.
