Any ideas, thoughts - not necessary related to Hard Disk Sentinel.

Disable drive

Post by Angel »

Hello everyone,

I have the USB stick "Kingston Data Traveler Max" which gets hot over 80° when used for a longer period of time.
Since I have set the maximum temperature to 79° and also receive the warnings via email.
I would like to be able to deactivate the drives.
Otherwise, I keep getting an email from Hard Disk Sentinal that the USB stick has exceeded the temperature.
I won't set the value of 79° any higher.
I have a Crucial T700 that gets over 70° and that would be a big risk if I increased the value even higher.
The SSD wasn't exactly cheap either.

Thanks.

Greetings,

Angel

Please refer to

Support -> Q&A Knowledge Base -> Solid state drives -> My SSD reports high temperature. Is it normal? How to avoid alerts related to temperature?

You can configure higher temperature threshold specifically for this drive to avoid alerts.

Yes, the Datatraveler MAX (as it has limited space to cool down) can reach very high temperatures, I'm afraid this is normal.
