Re: Chinese character encoding issue in http web status
Thanks for your message and attention.
Yes, I'm afraid (as I do not really know Chinese) I had no opportunity to examine/reproduce and know what could be the proper encoding there as I can't confirm if the characters actually displayed correctly or not...
But if you can suggest about the proper encoding in the HTML file, I'm more than happy to change/improve the situation.
Please try to save the HTML report (you can save from your browser or may use Report menu -> Save HTML report).
If you edit (with any text editor which does NOT save formatting, eg. with notepad) the saved file, you may see the charset=
We'd need to find the proper setting for your language - as then I can update to create the report by that of course.
Maybe big5 would be the proper encoding for your language?

Re: Chinese character encoding issue in http web status
Hi, I'm sorry, it's not html encoding issue, the html via webstatus has broken Chinese characters, but the saved report via program menu is fine. Both are UTF-8.
You can rename one volume label to some Chinese characters like "测试", refresh in hdsentinel, then view webstatus to reproduce the issue.

Or you can just set program language to Chinese (Simplified) and then view webstatus

Re: Chinese character encoding issue in http web status
Generally the saved HTML report and the information provided in the webstatus is 100% same, they should have 100% same character encoding. So in theory they should both appear similarly.
The problem is that without Chinese Windows (and Chinese language knowledge) I can't verify if the characters are correct or not.
From your previous message "like "测试", I also see no Chinese characters at all, probably because my Windows installation is not Chinese....

Re: Chinese character encoding issue in http web status
Could you try to install a Chinese windows virtual machine to test it? And the two htmls are not the same. The webstatus html doesn't contain correct Chinese character.
