CAn't get email notification to work

I set the SMTP server to SMTP.GMAIL.COM, SSL, Port 465. I also tried TLS and port 587.

I used my email address and password for authentication, and it fails authentication. I've entered it carefully and correctly, but still fails. I even entered it in Notepad so I could read it and copied and pasted it. still fails.

Any ideas?

BTW...I'm on version 5.30

Thanks, but this is problem of gmail: by default it may BLOCK connections from 3rd party software (which they call "less secure apps" which is not true of course).

Please log in to Gmail and allow connection - then everything will work as should.
