No Data For Offline Disks

Post by Stubi »

I am using 3.60. This version should be able to show the data for the offline disks. For this the software writes DAT files. Janos told me that this happens about every 5 minutes. But for my online disks this happens about every 2 hours and so far I never got any DAT file for any not always online disk. They are not online all the time - otherwise they would not be offline disks. We had some Emails but I never got an answer why it does not happen every 5 minutes. So for me this feature is useless and does not work.

Excuse me, maybe one or more e-mails lost.

I thought we discussed everything in e-mails. You wrote that you have the data files created and you could access the offline disk information. So for me it seemed we discussed everything and this feature works correctly on your system.

Thanks for your notification here, I'm sending an answer again in e-mail.

Got the e-mail from Janos - Thank You. But I want to respond here because it might help other users.

Now I tested it with my offline disks again and let them run until those DAT files were created. It simply takes up to 2 hours until those DAT files are created. Then it works. But my normally offline disks are never switched on that long. Would be nice if those DAT files get created when the software gets switched off or disks go offline - apart from regular updates at certain intervals.

Thanks for your suggestion!
Yes, the files will be created upon these actions and when the software will first recognise the affected drive(s).
That way the offline disk information will be available if the disk(s) were connected only for a short period.
