Hi,
I would like to read the power on time of my second U320 SCSI drive but it shows a unknown value.
The first U320 SCSI drive shows the power on time as it should.
It is a Seagate SCSI U320 drive.
What should i do to read this information?
Kind regards,
Microplus

Re: Power on time is unknown
Hi,
This depends on the hard disk and the status information it provides.
It seems this hard disk has no power on time counter, does not count and provide this information.
If you inspect the S.M.A.R.T. page of the other hard disk, you may notice "power on time" attribute - which may be missing for this hard disk.
If you use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option, it is possible to examine the complete set of self-monitoring attributes and verify if there may be anything to do, for example if the power on time is provided in a non-standard way and could be read, interpreted and displayed somehow.
