Re: Reinitialise disk surface on a windows system hd?
It is a good question, but I'm afraid the answer is that it is not possible.
The reinitialise disk surface test designed to completely and unrecoverably delete all data on the affected hard disk.
It is not possible to start it on a hard disk which contains the active operating system, as if we would delete system areas, the complete system would crash quickly without completing the test.
If you prefer to run to repair disk problems (for example weak / pending sectors) then I suggest to wait: soon a new version will be available which can repair these sectors without performing complete disk reinitialisation, without deleting/removing any data and possible on system drives too of course.
