Command Line XML report missing Volume names

Post by UpperEdgeTech »

Two part post. This is the short version: The XML report doesn't list the volume name under <logical drive>, just empty brackets (e.g. F: []). The text report has the volume name listed under "Logical Drive". I'll leave the proof as an exercise to the reader.

Thanks for your message and attention!

Checking and improving to be displayed in all cases, not only on periodic updates of the XML file which happen later if the Configuration -> Advanced options -> Generate and update XML file option enabled.

Anyway, please note that on the bottom (see the Partition Information section) the volume names are present for the logical drives even in the XML file created with the /XML command line switch.

I checked with another machine (running identical hardware) and the volume name showed up using the command line report and xml option. My original computer would show volume labels in the text report, but not the XML report. I don't know what the issue is, but I'm going to try to work around it since I have access to a machine that is operating correctly. Thanks for the help!

Please check the Hard Disk Sentinel version, there may be change if you use different versions on different systems.

I could reproduce the issue you wrote on one system, so checking and improving it. Thanks for your attention !
