How do people in the rest of the world change from the U.S. date format to something recognisable?

Please click on Start -> Control Panel -> Clock, Language and Region -> Change the date, time or number format.
This way you can change the default language format of Windows - what is detected and used by Hard Disk Sentinel.

Sorry to contradict you, but that is not the problem. My computer's date format is set to dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss, your application is using something like M/d/yyyy h:mm:ss

I double checked but I can't see the problem: the date properly follows the computer's "short date" format setting:



Can you please confirm what is your "short date" setting if it's other than dd/MM/yyyy as on the image?
Maybe please use the Report menu Send test report to developer option so I can check which version of HDSentinel you use and the current OS version. This may help to check it further.

It's not every date displayed, just some of them. One of them, anyway.

Dates on graphs are OK, and on the log tab, and the install date on disk performance - it seems just to be the logging on the tests

We made further testing (including on different Win7x64 systems) but I'm sorry, we could not reproduce the issue here: the software shows the proper date format in both windows on all test systems we checked.
All codes use the same format methods so the results should be the same (and as I see, they're really the same on all systems, except on yours).

Do you use Windows MUI and/or other software/tools which may affect regional settings?
Have you enabled compatibility mode or something similar which may affect how the software detects the regional settings?

No problems with any other applications.

Hi,

That seems to have fixed it - thank you!

It's also fixed the new dates on the graphs - e.g. today is shown as 3/1/2011 - but the old dates are obviously stored somewhere in the old format - e.g. yesterday is 2/28/2011, but that's not a problem.

Thanks! Excuse me, but I do not really think it is possible as since it was fixed there were no changes made in the software which could cause different date format display.

It is really interesting anyway. Can you please send a report with the new version and send a screenshot in e-mail to info@hdsentinel.com , to investigate it?
