Hello i have few questions. When i run HD sentinel in application mode, there is no option for starting minimized and i have to minimize it myself.
Also how do i use it when it run in service mode? When i try to run it in service mode so i don't have to use admin rights, i open HDSentinel.exe and nothing happens.

Of course there is option to start minimised: just open Configuration -> Preferences and disable the "Display main window when started" option, this controls if the main information window is displayed or not on startup.

Please check the Help at Configuration -> Integration page (where you can switch to Service mode) as it has extensive information about service mode and its details.

Yes of course, this is completely normal as only one instance (the service OR the application mode) can be active at any given time.
Generally, the service mode is designed to
- work when no user logged it (for computers with no active users)
- work in the background (to issue configured alerts and maybe provide status from the local / remote computers by the WebStatus function, see the Configuration -> Integration page)
- work to disable the current user (usually with limited user rights) from interacting the software.
As you may see, there is a Hard Disk Sentinel Tray application in the Hard Disk Sentinel program group. This is designed exactly to allow the current user to get LIMITED hard disk information (the tray icons, messages and get report about the hard disks).
Because of the above, this user has no access to advanced functions or the complete user interface, so if it is required to change configuration and/or perform testing or so, then you need to use the "Stop Service" shortcut and switch back to application mode for that.
