HDS fails when trying to run a surface scan on 520 bytes per sector disks.
I'd imagine that this is related to windows not supporting 520b/s, but other disk diag software can do it (Seagate seatools, WD data lifeguard for example).
I'm very satisfied with the software, but occasionaly need to test disks with this format. Was just wondering if there are any works arounds, or any future support in planning for this format?
Support for 520b/s disks?

Re: Support for 520b/s disks?
I can confirm that there should be no problems of course.
What kind of error do you see when you start the surface scan?
I'd recommend to use Report menu -> Send test report to developer option, it may help to check the actual situation, verify the hard disk status, disk controller, driver version as they may cause troubles.
