Remote Multi Host Gadget Support

Post by DarWin »

Good Day,
Your app was recommended by another IT guy, finding it to be a nice tool for home and small office use. I really like the panic backup feature! Great idea to integrate with S.M.A.R.T.. That would have been great a few weeks ago when a workstation HD failed.
Purchased a 5 user HD Sentinel license, fair price point for the utility.
Found and installed the v1.7 remote gadget, works well and easy enough to configure but was a bit disappointed by the lack of multiple remote host monitoring support.

It would be perfect if I could monitor multiple computers from my PC. Noting fancy, CPU and HD temp/status would be perfect.
Any chance you folks might be working on this enhancement?

Be Well

Thanks for your message and kind words !

Generally, the Enterprise version ( http://www.hdsentinel.com/hard_disk_sen ... rprise.php ) is designed to collect, show and manage the status information about remote clients. It is designed exactly to allow checking the status of any number of clients remotely.

The remote gadget is made by kramttocs (BIG THANKS for him for that!), I'm asking him about the possibilties.

Excellent! Thank you very much for your feedback. Looking forward to hearing if kramttocs might be able to create an enterprise like gadget. I’m really looking for a quick visual and maybe audio warning of some issue needing attention with a remote host HD.

I didn’t notice the enterprise server before (thought it was just more licenses) but have installed it. Perfect utility with all the details. Very easy setup since I had the gadget installed on a few computers. Still need to work with it to experience all the features. I would like to avoid interaction as in startup and popping up a window to see what’s happening.

Hoping kramttocs might have something in mind for an enterprise like gadget.

Please note that the public demo of the Enterprise Server (which is available online at the Download page) is very old and has limited functionality - generally only shows how the connection and reporting works.
The "real" Enterprise Server has additional functions/features and can work without interaction after startup.
This is designed exactly to monitor more than one remote clients from a central console.
