Dear HD Sentinel,
I understand I can interrogate the IDLE status of a disk without waking a disk, but was wondering is it possible to record this historical information and generate reports. Ideally HD Sentinel could eMail the report.
I have an array which has 9 Hard drives, and I want to be able to ascertain when each drive goes idle and for how long.
I intend to set the detection frequency to greater than the windows power timeout for the hard drives.

Yes, this can be interesting field to analyse. Currently Hard Disk Sentinel does not collect this kind of information (amount of sleeping time in %), but it may be added to a later version - and if this happens, the report will contain it (which you can get for example daily by enabling the Configuration -> Alerts -> Send daily status e-mails).
