It was my name causing the problem. Christopher instead of Chris.
Thank you. I am good now. This can be closed.

Re: Lost Registration Key - Register by email
Order ---------------. (EDIT: masked for security purposes)
I'm good, it turns out I used my real name (Christopher) instead of (Chris).
This has been a lifelong issue.
Thanks for the reply!!

Lost Registration Key - Register by email
I am trying to find this option.
Lost Registration Key - Register by email
I thought the option would be on the website because I didn't see it in the program.

Files and folders are allocated for 2x or 3x the origianl
Used disc space is bigger than size of all files. I can copy these to a new drive and format or defrag this one, mostly I'm curious what's going on. In the screenshot I see that these files are allocated for two or three the size (estimated) as the actual file. Google Photos. https://photos.app.goo....

Re: WDC WD140EDFZ-11A0VA0
Thanks. I am doing just that. I am on 2 of 8 in the Reinitialize disk surface process. So far so good. That's all for now on this topic. Got my work cut out. 8 TB to consolidate, organize, distribute to newly formatted drives and back-up. My 1st type of data storage was a cassette tape on the Atari ...

Re: WDC WD140EDFZ-11A0VA0
Thank you so much. In my entire I.T. career I've never been able able to ask these types of specific questions about PC hard drives. Even if my choice is correct, having some verification of that makes me feel better about the safety of my data. Computers come and go but my data is unique. Photos an...

Re: WDC WD140EDFZ-11A0VA0

Not sure if this is something I need to modify. I have three 4TB hard drive several years old never formatt...

MaxDigital MD4000GBDS-E 4TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s
I have never purchased a refurbished HD but I recently went from 30 TB available storage to 11 TB so I am thinking about getting 2 of these. I would love to know if not a good idea. I don't know the Mfg. or about refurbished drives. Also I want whatever I but to be supported by Sentinel. If tape wou...

Re: Model ID,ST5000DM000 From 8% health to 98%
I'm sorry for the delay in getting back in touch. Even though I get to work from home now, still working allot. My company is integrating 14 Mfg. plants from an IBM AS/400 (iSeries) based ERP package written mostly in-house to a PC based ERP pkg. (JDE World to JDE E1). I write software on the IBM so...

Re: Model ID,ST5000DM000 From 8% health to 98%
I sent the test report email just now and referenced this post. Oddly, at the same time the hard drive I refer to in this post started loosing health, the same thing happened to my C: SSD. It's gone down to 50% with different errors. For 2 drives that were fine to start having errors on the same day...

Re: Model ID,ST5000DM000 From 8% health to 98%
I am also happy about the outcome. Even better, it's 98% health from 8%. All of the tests you mentioned in your post passed successfully. I guess I will just keep an eye on it but at this point I'm convinced it's back to normal and will stop actively looking for problems.
Thanks for the reply,
Chris.
