Re: SSDs "Inactive (without monitoring)"
Report sent. Or at least, the application said it had been sent. Thank you!

SSDs "Inactive (without monitoring)"
I have two SSD drives that show as "Inactive (without monitoring)". Why is this? This status remains even after they're in active use. Even if I run a backup that takes hours, they continue to show "Inactive (without monitoring)".

Re: Pausing "Low health" alerts
I would humbly suggest adding a "Set custom health threshold" button next to the Health % bar in order to make this functionality more clear.

Re: Pausing "Low health" alerts
That works. I either forgot about that capability or didn't realize it existed (I can't remember which). Thank you.

Pausing "Low health" alerts
I have one SSD whose health is rated at 79%, largely because the "Wear Leveling Count" (177) attribute is at 414. Because of my setup -- which I don't want to change -- this causes "Low health" alerts every time I restart my PC or wake from hibernation. Is there a way to pause th...

Re: Surface test on NVMe drive in HDS 6.0.0 Pro
Yes, my drive is using the Windows Standard NVMe controller driver. Thank you for the explanation. Whenever we create something--whether an email, an essay, or an application--we become blind to how it is perceived by others. This is why it is important to have other (competent) people proofread, te...

Surface test on NVMe drive in HDS 6.0.0 Pro
I have a Seagate FireCuda 520 SSD (NVMe) drive. I just installed HDS Pro 6.00 on my Win10 21H1 system. I initiated a short self-test on the NVMe drive. My comments: - The red color in the progress bar is a little alarming. I would suggest making it green instead, since red typically indicates that a...

Re: Errors during surface test
All I did was edit the post, to make the quoted log entry smaller. It did tell me that the post had to be approved by a moderator, so maybe it is sitting in your moderation queue before being re-posted. (Sorry about that, didn't mean to give you more work.)

Re: Errors during surface test
Thank you. As I alluded, I suspected as much. I would very strongly suggest making the UI point this limitation out before the surface test even launches. A friendly error stating "A surface test is already running. You cannot start another one... Blah, blah." would be much nicer than laun...

Re: Status window disappears
I only have three options for wallpaper (Background, as Windows 10 calls it): "Picture", "Solid color", and "Slideshow". Mine is set to "Picture". Edit: The issue hasn't happened for a couple days now. My best guess is that a certain full-screen game was someh...

Status window disappears
I'm using Hard Disk Sentinel Pro v5.61 (11463) on Windows 10 Pro x64 1909. I use the status window with the "Display information on desktop" setting enabled. For the past couple days, the status window has mostly stopped appearing. If I reboot, it appears for awhile, then disappears again,...

Re: Ability to set individual temperature thresholds for dri
I came here to make the same request--I looked in the application but did not see a way to do this. I was looking in the main program options (Configuration > Thresholds / Tray Icon), because that is what made sense to me.

Task bar button for main window, not status window
I'd like to use the status window, but I don't like its task bar button always being visible. I realize I can hide it by disabling the "Show application on both Task Bar and System Tray" option, but that disables the task bar button for the main window, too, which I don't want. I'm also aw...

Re: UPS to condition the power
Whether the fans are mounted at an entry point or exit point of the case, dust/dirt will enter. The only thing that will prevent this is clean air or a filter. It's not like having positive air pressure somehow cleans the air being forced into the case. And in any case (pun not really intended!), th...

Re: Crash when trying to back up settings
I did not realize it at the time, but StartMenuHelper32.dll is part of Classic Shell (classicshell.net). So this may not be your issue. Sorry about that.
I would send a test report (if you still would like me to) but I'm concerned about what data gets sent. No offense intended.
Thank you!

Simple question--how to make alerting stop?
I just got two alerts for low disk space. How do I make the alert sound stop, without totally disabling sound alerts? It's not obvious to me how to do this, and I'm getting annoyed. Edit: I think I have it figured out. When there are no active alerts, the "Disable sound alerts" function co...

Crash when trying to back up settings
I was on the Configuration > Update dialog, trying to back up the configuration. I clicked the "Backup Configuration" button, but it would not let me navigate to the location I wanted to save the backup file in. I think the target HDD may have been in sleep mode (per Windows power settings...

Mail test "Thread creation error"
I'm a new user of Hard Disk Sentinel Pro and have v5.40 (10482) installed on Win10 Pro x64 1809. The mail test was working, then for no apparent reason, I started seeing the attached error: Mail Test Error while sending test mail. Please verify the e-mail configuration. Thread creation error: Not en...
