Re: [BUG?] Incorrect Health value with Even ID 129
Well, here's my reasoning for thinking it's a bug: 1) The documentation does not mention or explain that Event Log entries will affect the Health value of a device. Nor does the documentation explain that the disk tests will restore the Health value to 100% if there are controller/drivers problems r...

[BUG?] Incorrect Health value with Even ID 129
I am seeing HD Sentinel's "Health" value dropping whenever there is reported Event ID 129 "Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort1, was issued." I had this happening a few times on a 4 year old HDD and the "Health" value dropped down to 97% over a couple of days period, so I...

Re: SSD Write Amplification Factor
Oh man, I don't want to bring out calc.exe whenever if I want to see what WAF is!
Well.. perhaps if you provide those two SMART attributes in WMI, external monitoring software can calculate WAF instead

Re: WMI support? Yes please!
Hi again! First of all, I'm sorry about this long wall of text, but your announcement of WMI in HD Sentinel has me very excited! Hahah. This is something I've been wanting to see for a decade to be honest! Secondly, my opinions below are just that; my opinions. They aren't meant as criticism of your...

SSD Write Amplification Factor
I can't find SSD Write Amplification Factor shown anywhere in HD Sentinel. WAF = 1 + ( SMART Attrib 248 / SMART Attrib 247 ) Some more info: [*] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Write_amplification [*] https://www.micron.com/~/media/documents/products/technical-note/solid-state-storage/tnfd23_m500_smar...

Re: WMI support? Yes please!
...! Wow, yeah that was almost spooky haha When I saw your reply, I immediately quit my movie watching and grabbed my laptop to test it. I've had a quick look with WMI Explorer to see what info is available, but there wasn't much at the moment tbh :D I was a little frustrated by some data being repo...

WMI support? Yes please!
I'd love to see WMI implementation in a future version. I do realize this might be a large feature to implement, though. But this software would then be the sole provider of SMART info over WMI, as there is no other software that does it properly. Afaik, there is only one program that does something...
