Re: problemwith main window in windows 10
Hi,
Thanks for your message and excuse me for the possible issue.
Not really sure that the problem is related to Windows 10 at all.
Maybe after installation, the software displayed on a secondary monitor (if you have one) or if you configured high resolution (and then changed), then it may be displayed outside the screen.
Hard Disk Sentinel saves the last position / size of the main window and then automatically re-display in the same location.
So when screen resolution changed and/or the secondary monitor disconnected, then it may be displayed - just outside the visible area.
The best way to fix is to
- right click on the tray icon and select Exit to complete close Hard Disk Sentinel
- navigate to the folder where Hard Disk Sentinel installed ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Hard Disk Sentinel by default) and delete the file HDSentinel.ini
- restart Hard Disk Sentinel
This way the software will start with factory default settings and display options, so then its main window should be displayed on the primary monitor.
Please check this forum topic: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=10465&p=14200&hili ... ini#p14200
with similar situation, there this fix helped.
Please let me know if this does not help, and even after the HDSentinel.ini file deleted, you still do not see the main window.

Thanks, glad to hear things worked. Excuse me for the troubles.
Maybe if you saved the original HDSentinel.ini file (before delete) and can send in e-mail to info@hdsentinel.com address, I can examine which saved setting / coordinate was not correct (or corrupted) and can add extra protection against such issue, so that sould not happen with a future version.
