Re: Move registration from old to new computer
Thanks for your question.
Configuration -> Update -> Backup configuration
function is designed exactly for this purpose: to backup all settings, statistics, drive information, registration details to a single file.
If you uninstall the software from the current computer (or simply stop using), on the new computer you can re-install the software and use Configuration -> Update -> Restore configuration to restore everything back and continue using the software on that.
If you do wish to have a clean install, you can simply uninstall, install on the new computer and register and activate as before with your 15-digit registration code.

No, as you can see on the Store page ( http://www.hdsentinel.com/store.php )
Each computer (PC, Desktop, Server or Notebook) requires a license.
So if you prefer to use on 2 computers, you'd need 2 licenses. Or you may consider a "Family license" which can be used on up to 5 computers in any location (so you can share with relatives / friends).
The licenses are lifetime: no further annual subscription/renewal costs and all updates are free for future versions.

Re: Move registration from old to new computer
Hi,
I did not see this post before I formatted my PC!
I did save the DISKDATA files. I have reinstalled Hard Disk Sentinel and replaced the DISKDATA files, but I can't see the history of my HDDs. Have I lost my history or is there a way to restore it from the files I've saved?
Thanks

Re: Move registration from old to new computer
Hi Tony,
I'm afraid yes: the DISKDATA files is only half part of the history. They contain raw information about the drives, but they do not contain everything, for example the dates when they measured/saved, the temperature/health statistics and so.
Manually saving / restoring these files do not help, as then many information would be still missing.
The best way to save everything is to use Configuration -> Backup configuration (to save everything, statistics, settings, registration details to a single file) and then use Configuration -> Restore configuration to re-load everything quickly.

Many thanks for your support. I'll keep in mind that for next time!
